Google Announces Street View

Google announced on Tuesday their new Close-Up view, at the Where 2.0 conference. This Close-up view can be found on Google Maps, labeled as Street View. I thought the satellite view was pretty crazy but now you got street views. Right now it is limited to parts of: San Francisco, Vegas, Miami and New York. Give it a try, its pretty jaw dropping technology.

This new feature allows users to virtually walk down the street without getting out of your chair. Who needs exercise now?

Just imagine when Google starts putting ads on these maps. The world of virtual billboards and highlighted store fronts will be opened. It has been said that you will even be able to go inside a store soon–meaning you can go into a store front from your PC.

Verballs bring Skype to life

Verballs bring Skype to life by acting as live media as you talk to your friends over the internet. For those of you who don’t know what Skype is—it’s a service that allows you to call another Skype user, anywhere in the world for free.

Never miss another Skype call again as your character will start waving to you and its horns will flash, warning you that you have a call.

My favorite is pictured below. His name is Slick and he will be the talk of your office if you decide to bring him in. He is dressed to impress in his navy pin stripe suit perfect for any office situation.

Nintendo Wii - Project REVOLUTION

The Nintendo Wii, code named Project Revolution, is due to hit stores on November 19. I am excited for the release of this system for one main reason, the immense number of classic titles and new games that will be available by the end of the year. In a statement earlier this week, Nintendo said that there will be 32 new titles as well as 30 classic games that will be available by the end of the year. For comparison reasons, the Playstion 3 will launch with 22 titles.

Cubisto Frames

Cubisto, the first modular, 3-D framing system. Its unique design suspends 3-D objects between two pliable, transparent films, creating the illusion the object is floating for a stunning visual display.

My favorite part of the frame is that they stack together just like those old Lego sets you had or still have when you were younger. So you get the characteristics of your younger days with ability of showcasing your new toys/collectables. Retro goes new age.

I got mine at Urban Outfitters.
