Lego Technology: Mindstorm NXT Alpha Rex

Toys these days are becoming very so high tech, I couldn’t believe my eyes this weekend when I went to the toy store this past weekend. Legos aren’t just Legos anymore, they aren’t just those building blocks that I remembered from when I was younger but now they include: touch sensors, sound sensors, light sensors, ultrasonic sensors, servo motors, 32-bit micro processors so you can program it, and even BLUETOOTH! As kids talk on their cell phones you can command your Mindstorm NXT to snap a picture of themselves.

What am I talking about? Meet Alpha Rex from the Lego’s Mindstorm NXT product line at lego.com.

Avion DP-200

Happy Black Friday (The biggest Shopping Day of the Year)!

I know everyone is probably in a food coma right now, but those of you who headed out early this morning and waited in those long lines: CONGRATULATIONS for you almost getting your Christmas Shopping done!

Today, I wanted to feature one of my better purchase of today. It’s the Avion DP-200 and its only $15. After breaking my wallet this morning, I was happy I got a break on this purchase. This is not one of my more expensive post but it’s actually probably one of my cheapest one.

Why did I decide to feature this Progressive Scan DVD player? First, because this was one of my more proud purchases today, and secondly a inexpensive
REGION FREE DVD player. What does this mean? It means you can watch all the bootleg DVDs you want and not worry about any regional locks. It supports DVDs, DVD-Rs, DVD-RW, CDs, HDCDs, Kodak Picture CDs, CD-RWs, NTSC, PAL, and P-SCAN.
